At Monterizo Limited, we are committed to conducting all our business activities in a lawful, transparent, and responsible manner. This Compliance Policy sets out the standards we follow when publishing, promoting, or assisting with marketing communications for our clients and partners.
This policy is not a legal agreement, but it reflects our internal controls and values and applies to all content, campaigns, partnerships, and communications facilitated or approved by Monterizo.
1. Purpose of This Policy
The purpose of this policy is to:
define the standards we apply to promotional content;
clarify our position regarding advertising in regulated sectors;
highlight Monterizo’s commitment to ethical, legal, and reputational compliance.
We aim to protect users, clients, and our brand from misleading or unlawful advertising practices.
2. Scope of Application
This policy applies to:
all marketing campaigns, creatives, and offers distributed or reviewed by Monterizo;
landing pages, banners, and tracking mechanisms that we host, promote, or route traffic to;
affiliate, partner, or white-label activity managed under the Monterizo name.
This policy does not create any contractual obligations between Monterizo and its clients, partners, or third parties. All commercial terms, legal responsibilities, and service conditions are governed exclusively by the applicable contracts signed between the parties.
3. Prohibited Content
At Monterizo, we apply a clear set of advertising and content integrity principles across all campaigns and channels. All marketing content must adhere to the following core standards:
Legality — content must comply with applicable laws in each target jurisdiction;
Truthfulness — all claims must be accurate, verifiable, and not misleading;
Transparency — users must be clearly informed about offers, terms, and any commercial intent;
Fairness — content must not exploit users’ vulnerabilities or use manipulative techniques;
Safety — advertising must avoid causing reputational, legal, or psychological harm to users.
Based on these principles, Monterizo does not allow the publication or distribution of content that:
violates applicable laws or promotes illegal activity;
contains hate speech, violence, or discrimination;
includes sexually explicit or pornographic material;
mimics official system alerts, financial interfaces, or security warnings;
uses misleading claims, urgency tactics, or deceptive calls-to-action;
employs so-called “dark patterns”, such as: fake countdowns or availability claims, fake testimonials or endorsements, hidden opt-ins or non-obvious consent;
argets vulnerable groups (such as financially distressed users) with exploitative messaging.
We reserve the right to reject or suspend any content that may expose Monterizo or its partners to legal, reputational, or ethical risks.
These principles are derived from international advertising and data protection frameworks, including but not limited to:
the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), especially regarding fairness, transparency, and consent;
guidance from the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) on deceptive design and user manipulation;
the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) advertising standards in the United States;
national advertising and content regulations in countries where Monterizo operates;
digital ethics and ad integrity standards from IAB Europe.
These sources inform our internal compliance criteria. However, Monterizo evaluates each campaign individually, applying these principles case-by-case depending on the regulatory context, channel, and jurisdiction.
4. Jurisdiction-Specific Rules & Licenses
We acknowledge that certain jurisdictions impose strict advertising standards, especially in industries like gambling, finance, and health.
All marketing content must:
comply with local advertising laws and industry codes;
avoid targeting minors or misrepresenting risks;
meet platform-level and regulator-specific rules (e.g., FTC, HGC, ONJN).
Monterizo holds valid advertising authorizations in selected jurisdictions, including Romania, Greece, and certain U.S. states.
We do not operate in markets where we lack the necessary approvals. All campaign targeting is reviewed internally to ensure compliance.
The advertiser is ultimately responsible for verifying that their offer is legally permitted in the target market.
5. Risk Assessment & Gambling Content Standards
Monterizo applies an internal risk assessment procedure to review all marketing materials before publication.
We may request and review details such as:
brand information;
legal entity information;
product positioning and creative assets;
bonus mechanics and promotional structure;
licensing status (where applicable);
visual elements and messaging compliance.
We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or block campaigns that:
violate applicable laws in target markets;
present high legal, reputational, or ethical risks;
fail to pass internal compliance review;
include fraudulent, misleading, or non-permitted content.
All advertising materials created by Monterizo must be approved by the client prior to publication.
While Monterizo may offer creative advice or compliance input, the Client remains fully responsible for the legality and consequences of the content.
Gambling-Specific Guidelines
Monterizo works only with licensed gambling operators and upholds advertising standards set by regulatory bodies.
Gambling advertisements must not:
appeal to children or youth culture;
target persons under the age of 21;
suggest that gambling improves status, attractiveness, or relationships;
exploit financial vulnerability or emotional hardship;
imply guaranteed wins, easy money, or urgency to deposit;
use imagery of banknotes, push notifications, or false systems alerts;
omit required legal disclaimers or license details;
appear in environments with predominantly underage or vulnerable
audiences.
When applicable, messages such as “BeGambleAware”, “Please play responsibly”, or equivalents must be clearly displayed.
We reserve the right to update these internal standards at any time to reflect changes in applicable regulations and market best practices.
6. Advertising Ethics
We expect all content submitted to or published through Monterizo to:
be based on factual, verifiable claims;
clearly disclose terms, disclaimers, and qualifications;
avoid exaggeration, false urgency, or misleading financial representations;
never simulate winners, "lucky users", or false endorsements.
We may request supporting materials, such as legal disclaimers or licenses, before approving a campaign.
7. Client & Partner Responsibility
Our partners and clients are expected to:
submit only legally compliant materials;
verify regulatory obligations in their chosen markets;
promptly respond to compliance-related inquiries;
respect Monterizo’s decision to block or suspend any campaign that raises concern.
We reserve the right to pause or terminate cooperation if this policy is violated.
8. Data Privacy & User Rights
Monterizo does not directly collect or process sensitive personal data from users. Our data handling practices are governed by our Privacy Policy.
We expect all partners to uphold equivalent standards of privacy and transparency, particularly in jurisdictions subject to the GDPR or similar frameworks.
9. Transparency & Integrity
We do not allow:
hidden redirects or cloaking;
unauthorized sub-affiliate activity;
fraudulent or misleading acquisition methods.
All traffic and campaigns must operate under the declared parameters.
10. Updates to This Policy
